Everyone in this world shares the same innate source of wisdom, but it is hidden by the tangle of our own misguided thoughts.” Sydney Banks – The Missing Link
Before we can go into more about “how” the principles show up both in my life, and in the lives of those I have worked with – we need another pillar.
Mental Well-Being is the default position of all human beings – no exceptions. Like the human body that is always trying to return to health or heal the cuts on your fingers to the bruise on your knee – we also have a mental health barometer that is a well of being which includes peace and understanding.
If you watch very young children you will see it exhibited often. They laugh, they cry, they fall down, they get up – they move from experience to experience unburdened by commentary or personal thinking. They don’t stop and say un oh I can’t walk…now what will I do. The flow of life moving through all experiences possesses this innate wisdom – guidance and possibility – that comes from Mind through us every moment of every day.
What does this imply – well it points to a new understanding that when we have thoughts which cause stress, sadness or fear – we don’t have to control, manipulate or meditate our way through. WE can relax and allow the innate setting of peace to return and our consciousness to bring it to life. The wisdom Syd speaks of is natural – it is part of our design and the only thing that keeps us from seeing it is our contaminated personal thinking. Always.
Until next Friday, keep the kid in you!
