Thoughts of Fear almost always come from a sense of wanting to control. Including wanting to control the thoughts themselves. Any sense of “wanting” points to lack…otherwise we wouldn’t be wanting. When we let go of wanting – and simply allow what is happening in the moment – we help the mind settle down and we encourage the innate wisdom we have to be seen by us. (remember it is always there – we just can’t see it).The frenzy of discomfort seems to lead us to looking for love in all the wrong places…This is the profound gift of shifting from “the outside world is making me crazy and I have to control that in order not to feel badly,” To the inside world where all the power resides to quiet down and instead of trying to change our thoughts, or control our thoughts or get rid of our thoughts; things naturally shift and we return to home base.
If I have had a series of questions over the years they have all been the variation on the theme of “how” do I get rid of these pesky thoughts?” The answer is always the same…
Avoid the trap of urgency…do nothing for 5, 10, or 15 minutes…let it all go (you can always come back to it) and sure enough innate health and well-being will come on line of its own accord- as reliable as the sun rising. Just because there are clouds (of self-doubt or worry or fear) doesn’t mean the sun isn’t shining, (the sun of who you are). As soon as the clouds pass – new thought, perspective and answers follow.
