Principles of Spirit
The skinny limb of last week was about the Power of Prayer or good thoughts or communicating with the Great Spirit of Life. This week has included realizations for me about the importance of the Principles behind Life that make all of humanity part of the Divine Matrix whether they realize it or not. Those principles help to guide and inform us of what direction to take, who to connect with or collaborate with, how to make changes and decisions, and of course how to navigate the troubled world we now find ourselves immersed in-
I have known and taught these Principles for many years – applied them to the world of business and finance- to creativity and artistry – to the concerns of the marginalized and those who serve them, and at the same time I have sometimes forgotten how elemental they are and how helpful to the appearances we have in front of us. I have been reading a book written by a woman I have been in conferences with over many years, who chronicles her journey through this wise understanding and the changing of her own heart and mind. It provoked thoughtfulness, reflection, tears and recognition of how easy it is to get lost in the craziness of life and forget the gifts that Spirit gives for times such as these – well for all times really.
So back on the skinny limb and the beginning of a three-part blog series. For today, consider the greater intelligence that informs all of life…just because we can explain evolution and biology and even the body – does not mean there isn’t a greater intelligence behind all of that…For me the way into that knowing is through being moved – yesterday our sunrise included a salmon pink sky that took my breath away for a few moments…this morning I heard a piece of music including a voice with great depth and heart -and tears suddenly filled my eyes – a good friend, visiting from out of town, shared a comment by her charming grandson that brought a tender smile. These are the indicators of that greater Spirit behind each moment- if we are noticing it. We don’t make that happen – it just does happen because it is a Principle of Life. It doesn’t require belief – people will debate over it from ego mind. However, when those same people notice it – there is no debate because there is no belief – only experience.
My original teacher of this named it the Principal of Divine Mind – it also doesn’t matter what you name it…it is the force that Luke Skywalker called forth – the miracle of Nelson Mandela’s transformation- the devotion of John Lewis to justice -the genius of John Lennon – it’s everywhere in everything and in everyone. The awareness of this principle that Life has our back is where great ideas, inspirations and new beginnings are birthed.
Take a walk with that miracle this week and just notice.
