Heart Paths –

For those that follow the changes in the world of phenomena, you may have noticed the beginnings of a large shift.  To simplify it, I would say that it is a shift from focus on the mind to focus on the heart….physically that is about 18” – . Psychologically, it’s the equivalent of a tectonic plate shift just before an earthquake.  It would mean that kindness, compassion and love would take precedence over aggression, winning and profit.  IT would mean we make decisions based more on the heart connection, than analytical assessments.  Perhaps it would mean integrating those things with the heart in the lead, and the mind as the servant.

The rising tide of violence, anger and hate is potentially a pull in the opposite direction.  The more anger, the more the call for love and compassion.  The more bitterness and judgement, the more the need for understanding, wisdom and new pathways to new ways of being.  I am calling them HeartPaths and it is a combination of the science and evidence based work of Heartmath and spiritual teachings.  As you know from other posts, I have been a Heartmath certified coach for over 25 years  – with a focus on bringing the body system into coherence.  Coherence means that the major systems (respiratory, parasympathetic nervous system and the hormonal system) all work together in an aligned and coherent way.  It has been breakthrough science on so many levels.  In addition, the research shows that the Heart has brain cells as part of its structure and that it has an intelligence 4 times greater than the mind.  Recently it has come to me that we need to move a little farther down the path of Heart beyond coherence to transcendence.  This is where the spiritual (not religious) teachings can inform and invite profound change.

For this week, please consider how often you are in coherence (this includes open hearted and how often in conflict.  You can easily assess this by pausing right now and asking yourself if you are in peace-regardless of what is happening around you.  If not, drop your attention for the moment to your heart center and breathe as if through the heart.  Picture something that provides a sense of warmth in the heart – a memory, a photo, a piece of music-.  Once you feel that warm soft feeling, then stay there for 3 minutes and then go on with whatever you were doing.  Practicing this a few times daily increases the body’s innate systems of balance and resilience.

Meanwhile, back at the ranch, what to do with the busy mind.  I will tackle that a bit next week – but part of it is to understand some wisdom teachings and begin to apply them.  Its more than changing your mind – its an overhaul of misunderstandings that are very old.  This has become the focus of my work and joy – to teach people how to remain heart centered and open hearted as we create a new world – a new heaven and a new earth.

Stay tuned!
