Let it Be-Decisions and Dilemmas-
This is a period of decisions and dilemmas…we are once again embroiled in the pre-election craziness of a year of voting. We are approaching tax time which always seems to provoke more confusion and concern. Then there are the personal decisions of our lives – everything from finding a new job to what to do and who to invite for Passover or Easter. Do we leave out Aunt Mary who is always a challenge or be loving and invite everyone?
For me it’s the consideration of where to live next …perhaps time to move out of the back country and into a metropolis again. Or what to do about my sad little dog family of whom I lost a precious member. My Mikey – the calm, compassionate member of the tribe took a sudden exit and left behind two sad dogs and a sad mother. They seem so lonely so should I get yet another dog. Or perhaps it is something seemingly simple such as whether to cook dinner or go out to dinner or perhaps take out dinner.
The more I think about the things to decide upon – the more I feel weary of so many of these challenges and controversies. The feeling tone of forceful decisions is exhausting. First and foremost, we are trying to do them from our heads instead of from our hearts…the voice in my head is nagging and fearful and never carries any peace. My heart wants to rest, to relax, to trust and to move forward only when its clear, peaceful and easy.
For all of us, its time to be quiet – to allow the heart filled silence to guide us and move us with the ever present, never absent Love. It’s the natural way to move through life if not common. It takes just a moment to breathe – to soften and to listen. The voice from the heart is tender and encouraging (no judgement) and it always has our best interests at heart. (pun intended)
The musical rendering for this blog is one I chose a few years ago (different version) because it so perfectly give us the answer we are looking for – always….words of wisdom from a higher more loving intelligence – whether that is Mother Mary or our own higher self. They might be the same…just listen and you will hear it…and then allow it to be true for you.
Lets all look for the peace inside this week – it’s the only way to go!
(oh and by the way, if you took my offer and watched The Last Repair Shop short documentary – I am happy to report – they won the Oscar. It was a joy filled moment and I send out my gratitude to the creators for the heart filled story.
