What’s Your Dream

The classic film Pretty Woman ends with a gentleman shouting out the above question…what’s your dream?  Ponder that for a moment.

This is a week of extremes for me…my birthday….my book release and the one-year anniversary of my beloved husband’s death.

I had been talking about writing a book for so many years that I can’t even recall the number…talking and dreaming of seeing a book in print with my name as the author.  And of course, I am procrastinating and delaying and avoiding all the things you do when you have a dream you are not sure you can realize.   It took Bill’s saying to me…I need you to write your book….a few days before he left the planet for me to get it done.  It wasn’t what I started out doing but it has become a heart journey and a labor of love.

It has a surreal quality now that it is done…has a great cover in my opinion and it has fulfilled something I was always deeply longing for…it has shifted who I think I am and moved me into a new space (at this rather late date) of calling myself a written artist.  Thanks to all my friends from Hallmark days for encouraging me to view myself as an artist…

Its greatest benefit to be released now is that it gives purpose to the worst day of my life so far…and I know Bill is jumping for joy wherever he is…

I hope you will consider reading it, gifting it, recommending it and writing a review of it.  I also hope you will be encouraged to make your dream a reality by knowing that anyone can.

The book title is All Roads Lead to Dog and is available from Amazon.  Please join me in celebrating today – all our dreams – all those we love – and everything we hope for.
