Welcome The Light
Whether you welcomed the season with Black Friday or the first Sunday of Advent; or you are waiting for Hanukah – its time to welcome the light As we head towards the shortest daylight day of the year, we also welcome candles, and Christmas tree lights and the lighting of the Menorah.
Every tradition holds the symbol of light as hope and peace and joy. Each of us has the opportunity to welcome this eternal tradition of holding for joy.
For me this season holds special promise. In the New Year I will marry the man I fell in love with as a much younger woman and the joy our reunion has brought to me is a bit beyond description. For those of you who know me well, watch for Book 2. It tells the whole story including the inspiration that Love at any age can bring. Not to mention the fact that when you have what you think is a chance meeting; its really the beginning of something wonderful and surprising.
This year needs a larger celebration by all of us – we need to raise our spirits and our glasses to the never-ending promise of resilience in times of challenge, and new breakthroughs around every corner. We need to encourage each other and find ways to see beyond the immediate circumstance; to the truth that walls come down (think Berlin) and heroes arise (think Nelson Mandela) in every age and stage of life; there is hope.
So as we begin these next weeks of holiday cheer, each blog will focus on an aspect and include some inspiring music to remind you that Light is always with us; and we each carry that light within us.
Peace my friends…great peace.
Yes! Peace, Hope, Patience, Resilience and Love.💕
