Renaissance of Love

I am wrapping up the series on “you are the renaissance” – and of course no innovation or celebration or new creation or transformation can occur without a birthing and deepening of love.  It may have been trivialized in the media of music…Love is all there is…All you need is Love …Love is a many splendored thing…but whether we are looking at Valentine’s Day or considering Black History Month – we are looking at the need – the imperative of a Renaissance of Love.

Love is the healing agent of conflict – Love is the ingredient for cooking a new dish of understanding, and patience- Love is the balm for a broken heart or a defeated spirit…Love is the answer to doubt, to worry or to fear.

So though we may know it we need to SHOW it…to study it – to see it – and of course to Be it.

The following is a poem by Emmett Fox – a metaphysical teacher and found of the Unity Church.  His words are timeless:

Love by Emmet Fox

There is no difficulty that enough love will not conquer;
No disease that enough love will not heal;
No door that enough love will not open;
No gulf that enough love will not bridge;
No wall that enough love will not throw down;
No sin that enough love will not redeem…
It makes no difference how deeply seated may be the trouble;
How hopeless the outlook;
How muddled the tangle;
How great the mistake;
A sufficient realization of love will dissolve it all…
If only you could love enough you would be the happiest and most powerful being in the world.

This week – become a radical agent of love  –  know that the Renaissance we need is who we are.
