Inspiration Everywhere

No matter how things look at first glance, there really is inspiration all around. The above photo looks a lot like our area did in the full moon that has just passed…its light in the short days -brilliant in the evening. The rain that is now falling is melting the snow I groaned about shoveling and there is a slight wind that is moving my wind chimes that I normally only hear in summer. In nearby Sacramento, a group is working on cooking 3200 turkeys for families this Christmas.
There are two ways of seeing…one with our physical eyes and the likely interpretation that all is NOT well. The other is the eyes of our heart where we begin to notice tiny moments of beauty, of love in action and that is inspiring. There are also two ways to hear – one is the noise, the confusion and the anger that appears in many areas of our world…and then there is the laughter, the dogs talking (terriers talk) and the joy of the voice of someone you love.
And yes, there is music everywhere. This is an older rendition of one of my favorite carols of the season. The harmony is gorgeous and her voice is truly unique. Whatever you are celebrating this week or whatever may not be your tradition – just pause for a moment and listen to this music of the season and welcome inspiration and Love. Merry Christmas to all and to all a silent night.
