BIG LOVE-

Someone I hold dear coined the phrase for me of BIG LOVE- (Hey Carlton…shout out to you).  I don’t know what exactly he meant but to me it means a love that makes me better and bigger than I ever thought of being; a love that is eternal in nature and is ever present; a love that teaches, instructs, holds and cherishes through every difficulty and every joy.

As I mourn the loss of my Bill, I think of our love as the Big Love – and what comforts and sustains is that phrase, eternal in nature.  Wherever I am, that Love is with me.  Whatever I am doing that Love is beside me, whatever I am feeling, the Love knows and shows itself to me in small ways and large.  If I can allow my gaze to soften, I can see the Love in every moment – in my morning coffee and in a conversation with a friend – in a whispered prayer and in a song that lifts the heart while it wets the eyes.

I encourage all reading this to consider the Big Love in your life and celebrate it – recognize that it is the greatest power and the grandest experience.  Be certain that it will always be with you and always be a part of you – knowing death is not the end…is the confirmation of a Love well lived.

I couldn’t end these blogs of mourning without a little bit of the boss – on his recent tour (March 2023) – helping my heart to know what the heart knows….I will see you in my dreams Billy.
