Many people try to rid themselves of their habits of thinking or their beliefs -through practices. I know of at least 5 or 6 techniques for examining your beliefs, questioning your beliefs, and changing your beliefs. Syd Banks approach was lighter – he often said oh just ignore that and enjoy life. (annoying for some of us). But he was on to something – the more we dwell on what isn’t working including blaming ourselves for our lousy beliefs- the harder it feels to get rid of them.
It can be as simple as making a decision to not take your thoughts so seriously – after all thoughts are not real. Because we don’t deeply trust our own design- we are afraid to do that – but honestly the more you trust that this deep wisdom is inside of everyone – the less you have to practice what you already know.
Give it a chance – trust this week that no matter what troubling thoughts arise – they will pass and there is a wisdom available that is greater than any habitual thought pattern…and its yours already.
